

MapCollaborator is a web-based mapping tool and database for Anza Trail Partners (agencies, non-profits, volunteers) to assist NPS in documenting the Anza Recreational Trail and its resources. Once approved by NPS staff, data entered on this site will be shared on our public website at www.anzahistorictrail.org.

You can upload an ESRI Shapefile or a KML/KMZ file of proposed trails and see it on the map. For Shapefiles, you must first compress them into one .zip file, and be sure to include a .prj file.
Browse your computer to select your .zip or .kml file, then click "Show on Map" to upload and display on the map.

Primary Trail Maintainer
The agency or group having primary maintenance responsibility for the trail or trail segment.
Trail Surface Type
The predominant surface type the user would expect to encounter on the trail or trail segment.
Trail Class
The prescribed scale of development for a trail, representing its intended design and management standards. Populate only if applicable/known.

| TC2 - Moderately Developed | Simple trail, minor development, constructed features for trail resource protection. |

Modes of travel that are actively managed and appropriate on a trail, based on its design and management. The Managed Use attribute is applicable to all trails, except for those NHT segments that are not managed for recreation trail traffic.
NHT Certification Status
Status of NHT certification agreement for the trail segment on nonfederal land, and certification date if applicable/known.
